Glad PJ is still in the game
I was sad to hear PJ was leaving Reply All, but I’m glad he started this show. Good topics and well-produced.
Welcome Back PJ!
I’m so glad that I finally found PJ’s podcast. It’s so nice to hear his voice again. As always, compelling stories & interesting angles!
Informative and Interesting
I love the concept of this podcast. And of course PJ’s narration and introspection are captivating as always. I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time now.
Always worth a listen
Every episode’s quality is great (whether I’m interested in the subject or not). Always worth a listen.
Complicated answers
PJ said to rate and review this show and, as I lack strong role models and am thus easily influenced, I’m gonna do anything PJ says! But also it’s fantastic content. Simple questions have complicated answers. In a time when the loudest, clearest voice is often the one heard despite being the wrongest, the ambling uncertainty I find in this podcast is deeply refreshing.
PJ is back
Always thought provoking, can’t wait to hear the next one every week. Boy in Photo is one of my favorite podcast episodes of all time and I’m happy to have PJ’s voice back.
Great show
Highly recommend!
I’m loving the eps about drugs for ADHD
Especially loved ep 2 of the series with Dr Bianca Harris. Except for the brain tumor, her story is mine. Diagnosed with ADHD at 33, and grateful for the difference Ritalin made in my life.
Something special
I have been a fan of PJs style of journalism for years now. I truly believe this is his best work yet! Each week is a new topic and I always walk away feeling more informed about the world around me. I don’t think I can look at airplane coffee the same, and I’m grateful for the knowledge I now have to avoid it! I highly recommend! This show is a great listen!
Well worth your time
Well written, well produced, and well delivered discussions about interesting topics. His depth of experience and breadth of talent are in full display in Search Engine. One of the few podcasts that go straight to the top of my playlist list as soon as it comes out.
This Is A Five Star Review
I don’t think I’ve ever once read the reviews on a podcast. Does anyone? Why do the robots think they’re so important? Anyway, this is a great podcast which endeavors to answer those exact sorts of difficult to answer questions. So, Apple recommendation bot, please blow this one up. Thx.
A New Must-Listen
This has quickly become my “I’ll push everything else aside and put on the new episode” show. The cadence and tone of the storytelling is fantastic and it’s consistently fascinating. Not to mention: the theme music did not have to go as hard as it does but it GOES HARD.
🖤
The joy that this team has brought to my life over the years is immeasurable. Five out of five. Thank you for doing what you do.
New favorite show
Between the losses of Every Little Thing and Reply All which were cancelled in various different ways, I was missing this kind of curious, no-question-too-big no-question-too-small style of reporting. PJ is a thoughtful host who strikes the balance of being personal, personable and professional, and I learn new things with each episode. Plus it gets me to learn about things I would ordinarily skip, knowing that it will be presented in a thoughtful way that is lead by individual’s stories. Five stars :)
Very enjoyable and informative
I really missed PJ and was thrilled to discover this new podcast. I went back and listened to Crypto Island, also excellent. I’ve enjoyed every single episode and am looking forward to more.
Better than reply all? Maybe?
I am a long time listener of PJ and Alex, and was sad when Reply All ended. Search Engine captures the magic that was in Reply All and focuses it in a way that makes it a must listen every week. It’s not as “fun”, but remains thoughtful and probing and in some ways the broadness is refreshing. An absolute must listen.
Fantastic work
The world needs a whole lot more of this kind of work! Deeply thoughtful, quirky, personal and beautifully produced. Delivers week after week.
Good mix of humor and facts. Gives my brain something to chew on
I’m enjoying this show. The host is humble and smart in the best proportions. Excellent topics that have stuck with me.
Excellent Podcast, I look forward to it every week
PJ is a great storyteller and his choice of subject matter is always interesting and surprising. I highly recommend Search Engine to anyone who wants to learn more about quirky hidden corners of the world that don’t see much daylight
One of my “Never Miss” shows
I used to love Reply All and am so glad to have PJ and team’s voice back telling interesting stories in even more interesting ways. I get so excited to see a new episode in my feed!
He’s back and hasn’t lost a beat
Great to have PJ and (some of) the team from reply all back together. Each week has been more refined and really starting to hit it’s stride.
Great Investigative Podcast
Detailed dives into interesting subjects. Always worth the listen.
Fabulous!
Thoughtful, interesting & entertaining. I look forward to new episodes and really enjoyed the latest on speed/adhd meds - so well done.
PJ Vogt at his best!
Great topics, great research, just a really great podcast.
Try it!
My favorite new show
Thoughtful & Complete
This is one of the great podcasts out there. Utterly random though inquisitive. It covers some very big topics — the fentanyl episodes should get an award. It often covers small topics but in an obsessive rabbit hole sort of way. Keep up the good work!
Super interesting
All those random facts you didn’t know you wanted to know, interesting listen every time.
Great stuff
Way to cal to action! Love to support yas. All the way From delco , Comin atcha from Seattle wa
Solid weekly podcast
It is like a broader, sometimes more serious (which they dabbled in) Reply All that actually puts out episodes.
